Afterwards Bathsheba left to Weatherbury because she had inherited her uncle’s farm. But when he proposed she gave him a negative answer. From then on they kept meeting and Gabriel fell in love. There were two persons in the hut who seemed to be Bathsheba Everdene and her aunt. That same evening the shepherd saw her again when he discovered a light coming from a wooden hut. The girl went off without even thanking Gabriel.
